When I got my laptop, I made sure it had all the necessary programs so I could do work outside of my house. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, all there.
Except probably the most important of all
Last night I was downloading what I thought was a part of J Dilla's Disography. I unzipped it, realized that it wasn't any kind of music file, and proceeded to trash it. But my mouse sometimes has a hair trigger click. I open it.
Ooops.
Next thing I know, error messages are popping up everywhere, and my popup blocker on Firefox seems to have stopped working. I go to McAfee to download virus scan, it tells me I have to download it from Internet Explorer. Fine, except IE doesn't want to respond after I open it.
Crap.
So right now, all I can do is wait for my "emergency" CD to come in from McAfee in order for me to solve the problem.
Moral of story: BEFORE you get other programs, download virus protection first.
