In order to a) Let people know I'm still among the living and b Hope people forget that I haven't put a comic here in over 2 months, I've decided to do a list of damn good albums of 2005. Now, I don't really like doing top ten lists because chances are I'll leave out something that is just as good as what made it in. It's just a list of damn good albums I've listened to repeatedly this year. I fact, I think I'll call it "The Damn Good List". Kinda like the short...scratch that, New Pantheon award, except nobody wins any money. Just a "Hey, that was Damn Good!"

Little Brother-The Minstrel Show (ABB/Atlantic) Platinum Pied Pipers-Triple P (Ubiquity) Kanye West-Late Registration (Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam) DangerDoom-The Mouse and The Mask (Epitaph) Supstition-Chain Letters (Soulspazm) Slum Village-Slum Village (Barak) Damian Marley-Welcome To Jamrock (Tuff Gong) Doves-Some Cities (Capitol) Common-Be (GOOD/Geffen) Little Brother-Chitlin Circuit 1.5 (Hall Of Justus/Fastlife) Tanya Morgan-Sunset EP (Loud MInority) Jamie Lidell-Multiply (Warp) Beck-Guero (Geffen) Fiona Apple-Extrodinary Machine (Epic)
And the "Almost Damn Good" List (albums that could've made it but due to some circumstances, missed the list): Stevie Wonder-A Time To Love (Motown): Just a few songs (too many?) from "Hotter Than July" status. Still his best album since "Hotter Than July" The Go! Team-Thunder, Lightning, Strike (Memphis Industries)-Haven't heard all the songs (though "We Just Won't Be Defeated" stays on the brain) Roots Manuva-Awfully Deep (Big Dada)-Dope, but not as good as Run Come Save Me Lewis Taylor-Stoned (HackTone)-The American release of a 2001 classic, but some of the added remakes drag it out (even though his remake of Brian Wilson's "Melt Away" is hot fire)
